CAT B EBS module

Starting today, you can take the CAT B EBS module at DHTC in Den Helder. This training module is scheduled by default on the dates of the HUET session of the NOGEPA 0.5B course. DHTC provides this supplementary module in accordance with Norwegian training requirements. The certificate issued is valid indefinitely.
Norwegian training requirements
Effective April 1, 2026, helicopter passengers traveling in or to the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) must be able to demonstrate that they have completed the Cat B EBS (rebreather) training. Offshore Norge has indicated to its NOIA partners, including Element NL (NOGEPA), that Cat B EBS certificates issued under “Industry approved HUET Training” are accepted. DHTC is accredited by Element NL, and the quality is monitored by Element NL.

To participate in the Cat B EBS module, the trainee must be in possession of a valid certificate/stamp in the PSL of the NOGEPA 0.5A/0.5B or OPITO BOSIET/FOET including CA-EBS. It is also important that the trainee has a valid offshore medical examination.NOGEPA 0.5A
Course participants required to take the offshore basic course and potentially working on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, this module can also be scheduled immediately following the basic course upon request.
