Prerequisite training
The course participant must be in possession of a valid certificate / stamp in PSL of the NOGEPA 0.5A or 0.5B, or OPITO BOSIET or FOET including CA-EBS.
Medical requirement(s)
The course participant must be in the possession of a valid NOGEPA / OGUK / UKOOA / AWMF approved offshore medical certificate

Intended for
As of April 1, 2026, helicopter passengers traveling to the Norwegian Continental shelf (NCS) must be able to prove they have completed CAT B EBS rebreahter training.
Objectives
To teach helicopter passengers how to escape from a submerged helicopter using a CAT B EBS as defined in Norwegian regulations BSL D2-3 §3a.
Course content
- 4 HUET evacuations using CAT B EBS rebreather.
- Acclimatisation with the EBS in the water.
- Preparation for emergency water landing.
- Review of the emergency breathing system.
- Procedure for underwater evacuation of a helikopter.
